The Divine Kiss
Life’s Secret Rapture
What do you need to face your final moments? What can God give you that would take away any fear of death?
I discovered a secret through my studies of the Scriptures. Aaron, Moses and many other heroes of the Bible, at the end of their lives, experienced a mystical event that Jewish sages call the Divine Kiss. I am persuaded that this very personal experience is every bit as glorious and wonderful as the rapture of the church. I call it the Secret Rapture.
The Divine Kiss is a sort of bubble between the natural and the supernatural worlds, an event shared in this world and in the spiritual realm simultaneously, in which we are able to experience the full racham love of God and face our last moments with joy and praise. It is a passing from one realm to the next without pain, fear or agony.
As the Bride of Christ, the end of life for a believer is merely a consummation of our marriage with God. The enemy no longer has his stinger. In fact, he does not even have an invitation to the wedding!
So why do we fear death? At the end of this earthly life, the desire of our soul to be joined with our Creator, to become one with Him in love and peace, is fulfilled.
As a child, I remember being with my grandmother in a park during the Fall. All the leaves were changing color and falling from the trees. I asked my grandmother why the leaves turned to such beautiful colors. She told me that God created every green leaf for a purpose. Its mission on this earth was to provide life-giving oxygen. When it comes time for the little green leaf to die, as all life on Earth must, God gives each leaf a kiss, and that little green leaf turns into something beautiful. Then, waving her hand over the majestic scene filled with the glorious color of the falling leaves, she said, “Never forget. When it comes time for us to die, God will give us a kiss and make us into something beautiful.”
The Jewish sages call this the Divine Kiss.
“I am thrilled to share the truths that Chaim Bentorah and his ministry has gifted us with. The language of the Bible is a powerful and needed study for the believer. Chaim Bentorah’s insight and experience unfold in every book I read. They are from a teacher, which comes out in the pages so even the novice like myself can benefit accurately. I am so grateful for the materials that are available.”
Relatively a newby to Hebrew instruction but deeply enthralled by the ancient language – I particularly like Chaim Bentorah’s method of presenting his expertise and experiences – not demanding a “following” to his line of thinking but rather opening the door, allowing me as a reader/student to peek inside – to taste and “see” the Lord is good for myself. Thank you, Mr. Bentorah, for balanced, legitimate teaching.
“If you want to move deeper into discipleship, then Chaim Bentorah’s word studies will prove to be a bright light on your path into God’s heart for you. Let God’s word move from head knowledge to heart knowledge by finding out what certain words truly mean.”
“I feel refreshed and alive after every teaching. Chaim Bentorah’s writings not only teach the meaning of a verse, they get underneath the surface and reveal God’s heart. It causes me to want to cast aside my western assumptions I have projected onto the scriptures for so long and start over again. I look forward to the journey ahead. Thank you!”
