"The grass withers,
the flower fades;
but the word of God stands forever."
Thank you so much and God Bless for opening up the words, language and culture of my Messiah/Savior to my western thinking mind.
Not being Jewish, I desire to learn and understand the Jewish thinking and culture of Biblical times.. Words have meaning, culture helps to define and clear the picture. Your teaching is truly valuable to open these connections for us. Thank you!
May God truly bless and guide you through the seasons of time!
Your insight into scriptures has been about the best I have known for almost thirty two years of being a follower of the Messiah.
Appreciate you and the team for your great work
Trying to put resources together to purchase all your books. Really grateful.
God bless.
When I was in Israel our guide explained that the census was like everyone had to go home to Grandma’s house (the inn). Now with all the family gathered, it was chaos at grandma’s farm house so they fixed up the stable (small cave) for Mary and Jospeh to have some privacy and there would be plenty of women there to be with Mary as she gave birth to the baby. He said that is how tradition tells it (even though the Bible doesn’t say all that). It was an amazing trip. I did like the idea of Joseph going home to Mom and the rest of the family.
It took me over 60 years before I learned that the Bethlehem shepherds were Levitical shepherds raising spotless, “perfect” male lambs for temple sacrifices. Wow. I mean, they just didn’t fit the shepherding that the boy David did when he was alone with his flock and penned them in for the night. So not like plural shepherds watching theirs through the night.
But what was this “sign” supposed to be for them? I googled “swaddling for sheep” and got my answer. And now Rabbi Chaim has confirmed it! The lambs were swaddled with the gauze to keep them perfect for sacrifice. The SIGN was that these Levitical shepherds THIS TIME would find a HUMAN baby using their protective “sheep gauze” because He was the true fulfillment of God’s promise. Now there’s a REAL sign!
Oh, and He’s lying in a feeding trough. He would be providing feeding to those who come to Him. This is what He did with groups of 4000 and 5000. And after He fed them all for hours, then He fed them with physical food as well!
Again, thanks so much, Chaim, for the wealth you’ve passed our way!
Wow! Thank you so much Chaim, for today’s message. Your teachings are always so full, so insightful. When I read, or in this case listen, I recognize how much there is to know, to understand.
I am amazed at how little we are taught in church. It is up to us to take the time to go deeper. As I do that, my relationship with God becomes so much more intimate. I am constantly amazed, in awe, of the minute details, the order in which He put our universe together. I cannot imagine how much more wonderful it will be when we get to be with Him.
Thank you Chaim. So much to meditate on here. A true Christmas Feast!
That old hulk in the bay (now older than when I first visited many years ago) has offered up so much treasure from its expansive hold and, thanks to modern technology, will continue to do so long after we have departed into Glory. Shalom.
Beautiful and inspiring. The treasures of Scripture are a well of meaning and instruction. Thank you!
I am so grateful to learn Scripture from a Hebrew and Aramaic perspective. It sheds so much light and revelation. It makes the things that I never fully understood make sense and applicable to my life.
Many many things that I’ve learned I am now unlearning and have come to be. True follower of Jesus Christ. I’m so in love with Him and learning everything about Him.
Again, I am richly blessed by ur teachings but I will always give God the Glory.
I 🙏🏾 blessings upon blessings to you and your Ministry 🙏🏾
Thank you for this knowledgeable and insightful rendering of the Nativity, through a history of its times and interpretation of the Aramaic.
