HEBREW WORD STUDY – WITH ALL YOUR HEART
Deuteronomy 6:5: “And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.”
The heart, the source of all our passion, is very important in our relationship with God and this is shown in the Hebrew. Let me share with you something interesting that I discovered in ancient Jewish literature.
The two letters for the word “heart” (Lamed, Beth) are the only two letters in the Biblical Hebrew alphabet that can be combined with all the letters of God’s name to make meaningful words. God’s name is spelled Yod, Hei, Vav, Hei. The first letter in the word “heart” is Lamed. You put the Lamed before the Yod and you have Li “to me.” The Lamed before the Hei gives you Lah “to her” and the Lamed before the Vav gives you Lo “to him.” Our hearts belong to God and God’s heart belongs to us male and female. The next letter in the word heart is Beth. The Beth before the Yod is Bi ‘in me.” The Beth before the Hei is Bah “in her” and the Beth before the Vav is Bo “in him.”We are in God ’s heart and He is in our hearts both male and female. No other letters in the Hebrew alphabet have this feature. The significance of this is that the heart or the source of our passion is the point at which our connection with God is made.
If this type of study in Hebrew interests you, then read this special announcement.
Beginning Tuesday 3/12 at our usual Tuesday evening Hebrew Word Study live-stream we will begin teaching a class on basic Biblical Hebrew. It will be like I used to teach in Bible College with two exceptions. No memorization, with minimal homework, and every class will demonstrate a practical application from God’s Word. My goal is that in just 12 weeks you will be able to use the Hebrew grammar and to study the Bible in Hebrew, as well if not better than my advanced Hebrew students.
This is only offered to our All Access subscribers at no charge. If you are not an All Access subscriber you can join for just $1.00 for the first month and then $19.99 for the following months. The All Access site offers audio, videos, ebooks, all our archives as well as access to Chaim for help and PhDPany any questions you may have.
You could expect to pay hundreds of dollars for a Hebrew class like this online, or $2,000 -$3,000 in tuition if you enrolled in a course like this in Bible College or Seminary.
My study partner, Laura, will be offering a Dream Interpretation class using the Hebrew. Both classes will be live and recorded and put up on our Full Access site if you cannot attend. This Hebrew class will be held on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 – 7:50 CST.
We will continue our Saturday morning Hebrew word study live-stream as usual, and it will be recorded and posted for subscribers on All Access.
If you’re not enrolled in All Access you can go to www.HebrewWordStudy.com to subscribe.

Is there any significance to the repetition of Hei in God’s name or in this use of the letters of His name?
Hi Chaim, As I live in Australia, as an older bloke, I have great difficulty in getting up at midnight or later and concentrating on my computer screen as someone is trying to teach me profound things. Is this being recorded so as I can view it later? I already have full access.
